Broken solar panels are getting harder to come by because of the increased demand brought on by the DIY solar phenomenon. Good news is that solar photovoltaic cell prices are dropping very fast (by about 50% in the last year), so buying the solar cell components are now very reasonable.

So if one were to do a solar panel project such as the one demonstrated in the first video, where would they order the broken solar panels from? It seems relatively easy to do and could have an impact on energy consumption even in the North East.
